Project Scope
The “Patient Floor Project” included renovations of two (2) SCU Patient Rooms, Nurse’s Stations, Oncology Suite, six (6) new Patient Toilet Rooms. Plumbing work included new plumbing fixtures and associated plumbing piping. Installation of new Medical Gas Piping Systems (vacuum, medical air, oxygen) including alarm panels, sensors, zone valves, and outlet devices. A new Hydronic Heating Loop with hot water reheat coils was provided for the new Oncology Suite.
The "Infrastructure Project” included installation of a Renewaire Rooftop Energy Recovery Unit with steam heating coil, chilled water cooling coil, valves and controls. Replacement of two modular indoor air handling units and two indoor make-up air units with steam heating coils, chilled water cooling coils, valves and controls. Duct and Unit Mounted Steam Humidification Systems were provided on each of the new Modular Air Handling Systems. Work also included removal and replacement of two oil fired Cleaver Brooks High Pressure Steam Boilers with two new dual-fuel fired (oil & future NG) Cleaver Brooks 200 HP Low Pressure Steam Boilers, one new dual-fuel fired Fulton 10 HP High Pressure Steam Boiler, new Feed Water System and Deaerator Tank, new Fuel Oil Pump Set and Distribution System, new Steam Pressure Reducing Station, new Steam Heating Coil with electric heat trace for the cooling tower sump, Controls System, new metal chimney stack and venting system. Work included a Temporary Steam Boiler Heating Plant to maintain the fully operational facility.
